O Lord of Life, on this holy Saturday, the Saturday of those who sleep in hope of the Resurrection, we come to You carrying their memory in our hearts, and a silence deeper than words
You who conquered death by death, receive our departed in the light of Your face
Grant them rest, peace, and eternal joy, where there is no sorrow, no sighing, but life without end
Into Your hands we entrust them, their names, their stories, our tears and our longing
We trust in Your justice beyond all judgment and in Your mercy greater than every heart
Comfort us, the living, and make their memory a bridge of hope, until we are all gathered together in the dawn of the everlasting Resurrection
