O Good and Faithful Lord, we thank You for Your servant, Saint Makarios the Crucified, who bore Your cross with faith and meekness, and struggled for truth until the end
Teach us, O Lord, to imitate his courage in persecution, his humility in honor, and his steadfastness in trials and suffering
You who glorified Your holy martyr, shine the light of Your Resurrection on our path, and make us faithful witnesses of Your love in this changing world
Through the intercession of Saint Makarios, grant us the strength to carry our cross with joy, and to remain steadfast in You until death
