O Holy Spirit of God, who descended upon the apostles in the Upper Room as a flame of light and power, descend upon us today as well


We come to you with weary hearts and scattered thoughts; gather us again into the unity of love


Ignite within us an unquenchable fire : the fire of faith, hope, and joy


Make our inner being a new Upper Room, where your voice is heard and our fear becomes courage


Place upon our lips the word of truth, that we may become witnesses of Christ’s Resurrection in every land
