Lord of mercy and forgiveness, in this holy season, i stand before you with a contrite heart


I do not justify my weakness; I confess my need for You


You call me to return, not through fear but through love, not through condemnation but through hope


Remove from me a hardened heart and plant within me a new one — a heart that fasts from evil and hungers for righteousness


Teach me that my fasting be silence from harm, my charity forgiveness toward those who hurt me, and my prayer a living encounter with You


Lord, do not let my Lent be a habit, but a true journey of return, until i reach with You the joy of the Resurrection
