O Lord of mercy and love, we enter this week with hearts looking toward the holy season of Lent
Lent has not yet begun,yet its gentle breeze passes over our souls, reminding us of the call to repentance and return
Help us to set our thoughts in order and to prepare the homes of our hearts for Your presence
If there is conflict within us, grant us reconciliation; if there is coldness, kindle within us the fire of longing for you
Do not let us enter Lent out of habit, but with renewed determination and a humble heart that seeks Your face
And as we walk toward this blessed season, make our steps firm in Your light, that we may reach the joy of the resurrection with hearts renewed by Your grace
