My Lord Jesus Christ,I stand before You today with a heart that acknowledges its poverty, and with a soul that knows it cannot save itself


I have tried so many times to rely on myselfand to be the master of my own life


Yet I have discovered that the more I cling to myself, the farther I drift from You


Therefore, Jesus, I place myself into Your hands


I surrender my pride, my insistence on understanding everything, and my desire to achieve salvation by my own strength


I confess before You that I am a limited creature, that my strength is not enough, and that my sin is too heavy for me to carry alone


My Lord, You are the One who came to me when I could not reach You


You are the One who carried what I was unable to carry


You conquered death through Your death, and through Your Resurrection, You opened for me the way of life


Do not let me seek salvation without You


Do not let me build my worth upon my abilities and achievements


Instead, teach me to receive Your grace, to trust in Your love, and to surrender to Your work within me


Jesus, take the place of self within my heart, and make Yourself the center of my life


If You ask me to lose something of myself, do not let me be afraid, for I know that when I lose myself in You, I discover who I truly am


Take me away from my old self and lead me into a new life with You


When I am weak, be my strength


When I fall, raise me up


When I lose my way, guide me


When I am afraid, remind me that I am in Your hands


My Lord, I do not want to possess my life without You; I want to surrender it to You


Take my thoughts, my desires, my plans, and my fears, and place them all beneath Your loving gaze


Teach me to understand that salvation is not a project I accomplish by myself, but a grace that I receive from You


Jesus, I cannot save myself, but I can place myself into Your hands


Take all of me, purify me, renew me, and transform my heart, so that by Your grace I may become what You have called me to be


Lord, I am not my own salvation; You are my salvation


I am not the center of my life; You are its center


I do not belong to myself; I belong to You


To You I surrender myself


In You I place my trust.By Your grace I walk, and toward Your love I journey


For when I lose myself in You, I find the life that never ends
