Lord our God, on this day when we remember Your prophet Nahum, we come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your light upon our paths, Your strength in our weakness, and Your peace amid a troubled world
O Lord, You who declared through Nahum
that You know those who trust in You and that You bring justice against all evil — shine upon our minds to know Your will, and grant our souls steadfastness in every trial
Give us, God of mercy, a pure heart that learns to forgive, eyes that see the hungry and the suffering, and hands ready to serve wherever need arises
Bless our families, our country, and our Church, lift from the world all violence and oppression, and make us witnesses of Your peace, just as Your prophet proclaimed Your power among the nations
To You we give glory and Thanksgiving, now and forever
