Lord Jesus Christ, in this sacred season of Lent, a time of fasting and returning to You, i stand before You with a humble heart and a soul longing for Your mercy
You know my weakness and You see my struggles, yet You also know the deep desire of my heart for Your light
Lord, purify my heart from everything that distances me from You, and make this Lenten journey a new path where I walk with You
Teach me to fast not only from food, but also from sin and from everything that hardens my heart
Fill my soul with Your light, and plant within me a new heart that loves You and follows You faithfully
And when the glorious day of the Resurrection comes, let me rise with you with a renewed heart and a new life
