LORD JESUS CHRIST, I come before You with a humble heart, and I place before You everything within me


my joys and my sorrows, my weaknesses and my strengths, and all that I carry in my heart


Lord, on the feast of Your beloved servant, Saint Francis of Assisi, I ask You to teach me to be a peacemaker, not a bearer of conflict, and to build bridges between hearts rather than walls between souls


Where there is hatred, let me bring love; where there is a wound, let me bring forgiveness; where there is conflict, let me bring reconciliation


Jesus, do not let me wait for others to begin with love; give me the courage to begin myself


Do not let me wait for an apology, but teach me to forgive; and do not let me wait for someone to serve me, but make me ready to serve others


Lord, remove from my heart every anger that draws me away from You, every pride that prevents me from seeking reconciliation, and every harsh judgment against my brothers and sisters


Teach me to see in every person a brother or a sister, especially those who are different from me, those who have hurt me, and those whom I need to learn how to love


Saint Francis, messenger of peace and simplicity, pray for me, that I may become more humble, closer to Christ, and more willing to give and forgive


And Jesus, if You make me an instrument of Your peace, do not let me seek my own glory, but let the world come to know Your love through me


Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace, wherever I am, with whomever I meet, and in everything I say and do
