O Lord our God, as we draw near to the mystery of Your Nativity, our hearts long for Your light
We behold You as a Child in a manger, yet You are truly the King of kings and the Lord of peace
Teach us to recognize you in the simplicity of our days, in the silence of the cave, and in the faces of all who suffer and wait in hope
Be born, O Lord, within our hearts; cleanse them from fear and despair, and fill them with hope, joy, and peace
Make our homes a manger for your presence, and our lives a hymn of praise to Your glory, so that we may carry the light of Your Nativity to every person and proclaim that love is stronger than darkness
Glory be to You, O Divine Child, with the Father and the Holy Spirit, now and forever and unto the ages of ages.
