Lord, we thank You for giving Your Church a great saint in Pope John Paul II, who taught us to open our hearts to You without fear and to trust in Your love through all times
Through his intercession, make us messengers of hope in a weary world, instruments of peace amid violence and division, and witnesses of a living faith that never tires of love
O Jesus, as Your saint carried his cross with courage and joy, teach us to carry ours with trust and hope, and to proclaim by our lives that You are alive forever
