Lord our God, we thank You for giving us in Saint Poemen the Hermit an example of silence, humility, and love of repentance
Grant us to learn from his gentle spirit, to guard our lips from vanity, to open our hearts only to You, and to taste Your deep peace in the quiet of Your presence
Through his prayers, strengthen us to carry our cross each day, and make us witnesses to Your glory in the world
For You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life, now and forever.
