In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, one God. Amen



Jesus, my Lord and my God, on this feast of Your apostle, Saint Thomas, I come before You with a heart that carries both faith and questions, hope and weakness, and I simply say : I need You


Lord, You know how many times I have wanted to see You, yet it seemed as though You were hidden from me


You know how many times I have asked for an answer, only to receive silence instead of words


You know how many times I have prayed and felt as though heaven had not heard me


But today, through Saint Thomas, I learn not to run away from You when I doubt, but to run toward You


Teach me to seek You in the midst of my questions, to find You in the silence, to trust You when I do not understand, and to follow You when I cannot see the way ahead


Jesus, I do not want a faith that depends only on what my eyes can see


I want a faith that sees with the heart


Give me a faith that says


You are with me, even when I cannot see You


A faith that says


You hear me, even when I cannot hear Your voice


A faith that says


You are leading me, even when I cannot see where the road will end


My Lord and my God, when doubt enters my heart, do not allow it to steal my love for You


When my faith becomes weak, do not leave me—carry me


When I do not understand Your plans, teach me to trust Your heart


Saint Thomas, apostle of Christ, you who journeyed from questioning to faith, pray for me


Help me not to build my faith only upon what I can see, but upon the One whom I know to be faithful, loving, and true


And teach me, like you, to say to Christ with my whole being


My Lord and my God


Mary, Mother of Faith, take my hand whenever I am weak 


Teach me to say “yes” to God, even when I do not understand His ways


Jesus, I place before You all my doubts, all my fears, and everything that troubles my heart


I do not need to have an answer for everything; I need to have You


And if You are with me, let my heart be at peace


My Lord and my God, increase my faith, strengthen my hope, and kindle my love


Teach me to see You with the eyes of my heart, to love You with all that I am, and to trust You in every circumstance
