Lord, we stand now neither in morning nor in evening, but in a sincere moment beyond time, bringing before You a year that has passed with all it held, and a new year we know nothing about… except that You are in it
We place our memories in Your hands our joys, for which we thank You, and our wounds, not yet healed
Teach us to forgive, to release what weighs down the heart, and not to enter the new year carrying old burdens
Bless our coming steps, not to make us stronger, but more trusting in You; not to control tomorrow, but to rely on Your presence within it
If the year ahead brings weariness, be our rest
If it brings decisions, be the light of our discernment
If it brings joy, teach us to share it with love
O God of time, we entrust to You the beginning, and we walk with You… day by day
