My Lord and my God, in this moment I stand before You, not at the beginning of the day nor at its end, but in a time that belongs to You and me alone

You know my thoughts before I speak them, you hear my sighs before they become words

I place into Your hands my joy and my fear, my strength and my weakness, my questions and my silence

Teach me to rest in Your presence and to trust that You are working even when I cannot see

Grant me a peace not of this world and a confidence that does not shake in the storm

If my path is heavy, be my rest

If my heart is burdened, be my lightness

I surrender myself and all whom I love to You, trusting that You lead all things toward good

To You be glory forever
