Lord Jesus Christ, On the Feast of the Birth of Saint John the Baptist, we lift our hearts to You with gratitude and joy, for You raised up a voice crying in the wilderness to prepare the way for Christ and to call the world to repentance and new life


We thank You for the gift of John, the child of promise and trust, whose birth transformed the sorrow of his parents into joy, the silence of Zechariah into praise, and the waiting of the faithful into renewed hope


Lord, Teach us to listen to Your voice as John listened to Your call, and grant us hearts always ready to welcome You


Help us to be witnesses to the truth without fear, servants of love without seeking reward, and bearers of hope in a weary world longing for Your light


Through the intercession of Saint John the Baptist, purify our hearts, straighten our paths, and lead us always into the presence of Your holy face


To You be glory, honor, and worship forever and ever
