Lord, I stand before You with a heart longing for stillness and rest


I leave behind the noise of the world and place at Your feet all my worries, thoughts, and burdens


My God, how often my heart has been filled with words while lacking the grace of listening to Your voice


Today I come to You not to multiply my prayers with many words, but simply to remain in Your presence and allow Your light to fill my soul


Teach me to be silent before all that separates me from You, and to listen to the gentle whisper of Your love within me

Grant me a peaceful heart that is not shaken by trials, and a quiet spirit that trusts in Your wisdom and goodness


Beloved Jesus, when my strength fails, be my strength


When my vision grows dim, be my hope


When my thoughts become scattered, draw me back to Your peace, the peace that surpasses all understanding


I desire to sit at Your feet as Mary did and choose the better part that shall never be taken away


Do not let me be distracted by what is passing, but fix my eyes upon Your loving face


In silence before You, I find my rest


In Your presence, I find my peace


In Your love, I discover the meaning of my life and my eternal hope


To You be glory, honor, and worship, now and forever and unto the ages of ages
