Jesus, You who called Thecla into Your love, and opened before her a path whose destination she did not yet know, give me a heart like hers in faithfulness, a heart that chooses You when the choice is difficult, and remains with You when the journey becomes heavy


My Lord, I do not want a faith that remains only in words, but a faith that is revealed through my life, through my love, my forgiveness, and my service, and in every decision I make before You


Take away from me everything that draws me away from You


my pride, my selfishness, my attachment to what passes away, my fear of people, and my desire to please them


And give me instead a free heart, a heart that seeks only to please You


Jesus, when being faithful to You is easy, I thank You for Your grace


And when it is difficult, do not let me run away from it


Teach me to say to You in every circumstance


Lord, I am Yours.. Take my life and lead it wherever You desire


Saint Thecla, pray for us, that we may remain faithful to Christ in secret before we are seen, and in the little things before the great moments, and that we may carry His love wherever He places us


Lord, do not let my heart be divided between You and the world


Make it entirely Yours


And when a day comes when I feel weak, remind me of Thecla, and of all those who walked before us in faith, so that I may understand that faithfulness to Youis not human perfection, but a grace I must ask of You each day


Jesus, make my heart faithful to You, and make my life a witness to Your love, so that I may walk with You steadfastly and receive the inheritance You have promised to those who love You


Through the intercession of Saint Thecla, keep me steadfast in Your love, and make me faithful to You, not for one day alone, but throughout all the days of my life
